FRP Round Tubes
Circular hollow section pultruded FRP tubes from 25 mm to 150 mm OD.
Round tubes for handrails and structures
Pultruded FRP round tubes are the standard choice for handrail systems, guardrails, and structural applications requiring a circular cross-section. Smooth interior bore allows use as conduits. Non-conductive, corrosion-free, and available in standard grey or safety yellow.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are pultruded FRP round tubes used for?
Pultruded FRP round tubes are used for handrail systems, guardrails, structural columns, antenna masts, electrical conduit, insulating stand-offs, and fluid-conveying applications. Their non-conductive, corrosion-free, lightweight properties make them the standard alternative to galvanized steel and stainless tubing in marine, chemical plant, electrical, and offshore environments.
FRP round tube vs FRP square tube — which should I use?
Round tubes are preferred for handrails, antennas, columns under axial load, and any application requiring smooth interior bore (e.g. conduit, fluid passage). Square tubes (SHS) provide higher torsional rigidity, easier bolted connections, and flat bearing surfaces — choose them for trusses, frames, free-standing structures, and solar racking posts. Both are available in equivalent size ranges.
Can FRP round tubes be used outdoors with UV exposure?
Yes. F1 Composite pultruded round tubes are produced with a UV-stable polyester or vinyl ester resin and a polyester surface veil that protects against UV degradation. For aggressive UV environments (desert, tropical, alpine), we recommend pigmented vinyl ester with a polyurethane topcoat — design life of 50+ years with negligible mechanical loss.
What's the load capacity of FRP handrail tubes?
Pultruded FRP handrail tubes (e.g. CHS 50×5) typically meet or exceed the 200 lbs (890 N) horizontal load requirement of OSHA 1910.29 and EN ISO 14122-3 when supported at standard 1.5 m post spacing.
