Pultruded fiberglass square and rectangular tubing (SHS / RHS) from 25×25 mm to 240×240 mm. The closed section resists torsion, which suits columns, trusses, posts and frames.

Overview

FRP square and rectangular tubes give closed-section torsional rigidity to columns, trusses and frames. Multi-axial reinforcement can carry transverse demands, and the smooth bore allows use as a conduit or cable enclosure. Electrical insulation depends on the specified laminate, moisture and contamination, joints and any metal hardware.

Values of the isophthalic polyester laminate every datasheet lists. Moduli and strengths are the EN 13706-3 E23 minimums; ILSS is published above the 25 MPa minimum. Transverse strength is much lower than longitudinal, so connections need their own check. Full property table and test methods

Can I order fiberglass tubing cut to length?

Include finished length per piece, piece count, end cuts or holes, and tolerances with your selected section. We review the cutting and machining scope, material and packing before confirming the quotation. Catalog dimensions are section options, not a live stock list.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

Minimum quantity and timing are confirmed for the section, resin, tooling and processing required. Send your trial quantity, expected repeat demand, destination and target date. Ask for sample arrangements and production and shipping timing to be listed separately in the quotation.

What is the advantage of FRP square tubes over open profiles?

Closed-section square tubes deliver superior torsional rigidity compared to I-beams or channels, making them ideal for columns, trusses, and structures that resist combined bending and torsion. The smooth interior bore also allows use as conduits or cable enclosures.

Are rectangular hollow sections (RHS) available?

Yes. The catalog includes rectangular hollow sections such as 80×60, 100×60 and 120×60 mm alongside square sections. Confirm tooling, material, production quantity and timing in your quotation. Send a drawing for a custom rectangular size.

Lengths & tolerances
Catalog sections come in 6 m lengths or cut to your length. Give the piece length and count, say whether ASTM D3917 or EN 13706 tolerances apply, and mark any tighter tolerances, holes or end cuts on the drawing.
Resin & surface
Polyester suits general structural use; vinyl ester is the usual choice for chemicals, seawater and wastewater. Tell us the chemicals, concentration, temperature, outdoor exposure, color and any fire requirement, and we will confirm the resin and surface veil.
Quantity & samples
Catalog sections ship in 2–4 weeks. Give the trial quantity and the expected repeat demand; minimum quantities and samples are confirmed for the section and resin you choose.
Documents & delivery
Each production batch ships with a mill test certificate. Include the destination and target date, and we will quote FOB or DDP with the packing method and shipping schedule.
